‘Putting the Brakes’ on Crashes and Collisions
November 2, 2010 Vancouver BC: Another well-respected partner has joined CODE ZERO in ‘Leading the Quest for ZERO Crashes and Collisions’ on Canada’s streets and highways. Widely recognized around the world as ‘The Best in Brakes’, RAYBESTOS announced today their continued commitment to driver safety by becoming the “Official Supplier of Brakes and Brake components” to CODE ZERO.
CODE ZERO is a highly-acclaimed advanced driver-training program that has been offered to the public in British Columbia since 2007 by the Justice Institute of BC. It is based on the Police Recruit training program that they deliver in that Province and is expanding across Canada through a franchising system developed by CODE ZERO Licensing International Inc.
“Proper braking technique is one of the most important skills we teach in our driving programs,” related Andrew Field, President of CODE ZERO Licensing International Inc. at the announcement. “It is essential that drivers are able to optimize the braking ability of their vehicles in order to avoid potential traffic incidents. With the support of Raybestos, who specialize in supplying ‘The Best in Brakes’ to Police Departments throughout North America, we feel that our admittedly optimistic goal of reducing crashes and collisions to ZERO, becomes more achievable. Moreover,” added Field, “as we grow and expand our franchise network throughout Canada and North America, it is important to work with others who share similar goals and objectives related to driver safety.”
Brian Fleming, Director of Marketing for Raybestos Brake Products stated the importance that premium quality brakes can mean to added safety. “Raybestos brake formulations have achieved ISO/TS 16949-2002 Accreditation for Superior Performance and Safety, consistently matching or exceeding Original Equipment Vehicle Manufacturer Standards. Our extensive Dynamometer laboratory testing has been validated by on-going third party analysis conducted with Nationwide Police fleets, as well as undergoing gruelling on-track testing with Joe Gibbs NASCAR race team whose drivers depend on our superior braking performance to bring it home every weekend.” Fleming added that “Partnering with the CODE ZERO educational program is a natural extension of our commitment to safety.”
By 2015, CODE ZERO Licensing International Inc. expects to have over 100 locations operating across North America, providing drivers everywhere with the opportunity to benefit from the unique and truly effective CODE ZERO driving programs.
