Yokohama joins forces with CODE ZERO for unique driver safety training

LANGLEY, B.C. (September 23, 2010) – CODE ZERO, an innovative advanced driving course with its roots in police training and an objective of zero crashes and collisions on Canada’s roads, will now equip its vehicles with Yokohama tires through a partnership with Yokohama Canada, the company has announced.

Yokohama will become the exclusive tire supplier for CODE ZERO Licensing International Inc., the operating company of the program. CODE ZERO is based on the highly-regarded police recruit driving program. It has been offered to the public in British Columbia since 2007 by the Justice Institute of British Columbia and is rapidly expanding through franchises across the country.

“Yokohama is devoted to advancing tire technology to maximize active driver safety,” said Jonathon Karelse, national marketing manager for Yokohama Canada. “However, there’s more to vehicle control than tires. So we’re taking our commitment to safe driving to the next level by offering Canadian drivers – and our customers – the vital skills and techniques required to ensure their safety on the road.”

“We’re proud of the fact that the lessons we’re teaching have already prevented many serious driving incidents in British Columbia,” said Andrew, Field, president of CODE ZERO Licensing International Inc. “As we expand across Canada, our partnership with Yokohama will assist us in preventing many more.”

Yokohama Tire (Canada) Inc. markets and distributes a full line of tires for high performance, passenger car, light truck, and commercial truck applications, as well as off-the-road tires for mining, forestry and construction applications. It maintains distribution centres across Canada to serve more than 700 independent tire dealers and more than 2,000 retail locations.

Review: Conference in Mississauga

Conference in Mississauga

Andrew Field, President of CODE ZERO Licensing International Inc. and Chief Instructor Grant Kinney both attended an important Driver Training Conference this past week in Mississauga, Ontario.  The ‘Police Driver Trainer’s Seminar’ was held in order for those in the Police Driver-Training community to share significant information and new ideas.  In pursuit of every opportunity to fulfill their stated mission to “Lead the Quest for ZERO Crashes and Collisions”, Andrew and Grant felt that it was vital for CODE ZERO to be in attendance.

The Seminar certainly lived up to expectations.  Among others, Captain Travis Yates from the Tulsa, Oklahoma Police Department and Jeff Eggleston, Senior Law Enforcement Training Officer at the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy gave presentations that inspired and educated all of the attendees.

“Police Officer Driver-Training is designed to equip Recruits and Officers with skills that ensure everyone’s safety on the road, particularly during stressful situations,” explained Andrew after the Conference.  “Hearing about new training methods from the leaders in the industry is invaluable for CODE ZERO.  We are committed to preventing collisions and saving lives and information from each of the presentations will absolutely assist us in our Quest.”

Edmonton – CACP Conference

Friday, September 3rd, 2010

CACP Conference 2010Code Zero was in attendance at the 2010 Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police (CACP) Conference that was held in Edmonton on August 23rd and 24th. The conference gave Andrew Field, President of Code Zero Licensing International Inc., a terrific opportunity to connect personally with valuable senior executives of National companies and discuss opportunities for them to form strategic alliances with Code Zero. The company anticipates making a number of announcements over the next couple of months introducing significant marketing partnerships and “official supplier” relationships.

The conference produced a high level of interest in the Code Zero franchise opportunity in the Edmonton area and referrals for other franchise territories. As you only have to be 14 years of age in Alberta to obtain a learner’s license to drive a motor vehicle there was also a great deal of interest in the Code Zero program from parents of new teen drivers.
